After a week’s hiatus for EURFC BUCS Super Rugby the greatest league in the land returns to Topsham as Exeter take on Swansea as the build up to the end of the regular season heats up.
Last time out in BUCS Super Rugby EURFC secured a massive victory in their varsity fixture at Sandy Park against Nottingham. Speaking to fullback Dan John this week he said that despite playing: “It was a massive win, especially with losing that last varsity it was good for the boys to bounce back and get a good win in front of a massive crowd at sandy park.”
John last played for EURFC in the Loughborough game at home pre-Christmas and talked about his excitement to get back out on the pitch: “Yeah I can’t wait, can’t wait to play for the uni again. Haven’t played for a little bit because of my injury but I’m excited to pull the shirt back on and get a few more games”
With only three games left in the league before the knockout rounds Exeter’s title hopes rest on securing big wins consistently. Looking ahead to Wednesday John said: “Swansea’s always a tough game the boys really put in a good shift away… it’ll be tough Wednesday it’s always good to play against them they’ll definitely come after us but hopefully the boys will keep their form on from Varsity and bring it on Wednesday.”
Team News:
Following on from victory at Sandy Park head coach Rich Hodges makes three changes to the starting XV.

In the backs the only change comes at fullback with Dan John returning to the side. Ben Hammersley moves to the wing and Benjy Joseland moves to the bench.
On the bench Rob Gordon comes in as backrow cover.
